My first design project started with an old chair that I pulled from the basement of our family home at age 13. I wanted to see it transformed from traditional to modern, and I wanted to create something useful from forgotten material. This experience of learning through doing has shaped my career path. When I get into the nuts and bolts of things, I feel most excited about possibilities. I believe that uncovering how something works creates bridges in the imagination across which new concepts can enter the world.

As an editor, I exploit my obsession with detail. Moving images are the closest reflection of real life and can therefore communicate volumes in a short time. This richness is my focus.

  • These short pieces showcase just how little screen time is needed to make an impact. Ideally re-watched, very short promotional pieces can really spark the imagination. I crafted these videos to excite and inform while staying in a tight time frame.Stick figure icons by Becris

  • These one-minute profiles were challenging given the breadth of sources. Video clips from all over the world, and some across time, distilled down to 60 seconds. Finding that perfect moment to showcase is as much part of my process as making sure a clip cuts to the beat.

    • An animated series of answers to frequently asked questions.

This animated series was created to both entertain and inform customers about common practices, and also respond to some of their most frequently asked questions. I designed these motion graphic shorts using a combination of my own illustration as well as artwork by Leremy.Stick figure icons by Leremy

  • This was my first forray into motion graphics. The Decades Project is a lifelong collaboration with my childhood friend, Chris Redman. These animations are from the first installment which details our journey together as friends, and to northern Iceland to fulfill a decade-old promise.Co-edited with Christopher Redman
